Same Great Worship Service at 9 & 11 AM

INFANTS THROUGH 3 YEARS OLD | 9:00 AM & 11:00 AM Sunday

Sherry Kendrick, Children's Ministry Director

Infant Nursery (Birth to Walking) Located on the north end of the Worship Center, there is a play-space, a  crib room, and an area for diaper changing, rocking, and nursing.  We do not follow a curriculum here, but our babies are given many developmental activities such as gross motor play, language development, Bible-based stories and singing.  The play area is equipped to care for children who are moving and crawling to walking. Age appropriate toys are also provided.

Toddler Nursery (Walking to 2 years) Located on the north end of the Worship Center, there are many areas set up for developmental play.  The curriculum teaches our children the fundamentals of our faith.  Our toddlers learn that God loves them and how they can love others.

3 Year Old Nursery Located in the Fellowship Hall Room #108.  Once you take your 3-year-old to their room you do not need to pick them up again until you leave.  There will be a full-time attendant as well as teachers and helpers to meet their needs during both the Worship Service and Sunday School.  They will enjoy a Bible story at both the 9:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. worship services.  They will also be provided with a snack of cheese & crackers.  If your child has special dietary needs, please let us know.

Cry Rooms There are two rooms - one on the north end and one on the south end of the Worship Center labeled as Cry Rooms.  If you have an infant or child you would prefer to keep with you, you may use these rooms for diapering, nursing or calming. They are equipped with chairs and changing tables and we hope you feel at home there.

Upon arrival, please check in at the Children's Ministry Welcome Kiosk.  There will be a greeter there to help you.  You will be given a name label with a number code to place on your child's back.  Please keep the parent portion of the label, as you must have it to pick up your child.  The greeter will take you to the nursery to check in and you will be given a beeper that will vibrate if you are needed for your child.  We do have a 10-minute cry rule.  If we can't settle them in that amount of time we will page you.

About halfway through the worship service, snacks will be provided in the toddler nursery.  The snack consists of animal crackers or goldfish and water.  If your child has an allergy, please notify one of the nursery workers.  Snacks are not given to the children in the Infant Nursery unless directed by and supplied by the parents/guardians.  If you child is in the Infant Nursery, please indicate to the attendant how your child should be fed if needed.

If your child needs a special type of diaper, please supply them in your diaper bag.  Otherwise, the nursery has a supply of generic diapers on hand for routine changes.  Each child will be changed at least once, unless indicated by need, during his/her stay in the nursery.  Children that are potty-training will be given many opportunities to use the potty during their stay.

Behavior Policy

All children go through time periods where they are unhappy or need to be corrected.  It is our policy to first help or ask the child to correct his/her behavior or the situation.  Second, he/she is redirected to another activity.  Next, if the undesirable behavior continues, the child will take a break from the other kids with the attendant.  If the behavior persists, you will be notified by pager.

Biting/Rough-Play Policy

We do not tolerate physical violence of any kind in our nurseries.  If your child bites another child or uses physical violence, you will be notified and the child will need to be taken out of the nursery.  While we realize that some children go through this phase, and we are sympathetic, we cannot take any risks.  Your child may return to the nursery as soon as the episode has passed.

Nursery Workers and Volunteers

Each of our nursery workers is carefully trained in the rules and regulations of our nursery, as well as in age-appropriate techniques and education and child CPR.

If you are not currently involved with our nursery program and would like to volunteer, please contact Sherry Kendrick at 239-597-3464 or by email at
