John’s gospel is majestic in its account of the life of Christ.  This class will help you grow in your love for Christ as it explores key themes, concepts, and ideas that make John’s account of Jesus’ life unique to the gospels.

11:00 AM - 12:15 AM Classes

The Gospel of Mark (for Women) [FH215] Teacher: Mary Ann Lee

Mark’s gospel is a fast-moving account of King Jesus, the kingdom over which he reigns and the reason why he came into the world.  This class will study the gospel of Mark, chapter by chapter and is created especially for the women of Covenant.

The Attributes of God: Do You Really Know Him? [FH222]| January 14 - May 13. A proper understanding of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit spurs us to high and holy living. With a deeper grasp of God’s unique attributes, we can better appreciate who he is, how he thinks, how he operates and how he interacts with us personally. Together, we will see and savor the majesty, power, holiness, love, and wisdom of our triune Lord. This will be a 16-week video and discussion series. Each week we will consider a specific attribute and then spend time delving into how it impacts our walk before him. Teacher: Elder Mark Barineau

Seeing Christ in Every Book of the Bible  [Fellowship Hall South] Teacher: Elder Jim Noboa

The Christ-centered Series that I have been teaching for over two years is called “Seeing Christ in Every Book of the Bible.”

For each book of the Bible we discuss:

  1. What the book is about
  2. Why and to whom was it written
  3. How each Old Testament book points us to Christ
  4. How each New Testament book looks back to the cross and reveals or reinforces a particular aspect of who Christ is and what He has done or will do
  5. How we apply what we have learned

Every book of the Bible is studied from the perspective that Jesus is the key to the interpretation of the Bible. He is not only the unifying theme of the Bible but also the unfolding message that spans all of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation. The class is interactive and questions and comments are encouraged. Detailed notes are distributed each week.

Teaching Them Young | A Parenting Class [Fellowship Hall North] Ends March 18. Teacher: Dr. Chuck and Sharon Betters |God’s Word has wise counsel for both parents and children and perhaps no book more than Proverbs provides such helpful instruction on the many challenges of parenting.  This class will explore the first nine chapters of Proverbs and the principles that they give for parenting children for the glory of God.
